It's been in the news for the last couple years now. An epidemic here in the US. Before World War II they were found all over but the use of DDT in the "40s and "50s won the battle with them. Now they have been making a come back. It has become a large problem in hotels. Not just the lower end hotels ether. 4 and 5 star accommodation included. Bed bugs can thrive in sanitary conditions. All of us romping all over the world can be a contributor to their spreading. Hiding in our suite cases and cloths. When checking into a hotel they can be hard to spot. Hiding in electric sockets and behind pitchers. Even if you don't see the bug its self there are clues to infestation.

Most of don't carry our cordless screwdrivers with us on a trip. You still maybe able to see the little black pepper spots if you know were to look. Disgusting!

There are alternatives to hotels and they can be found all around the world. The chances of encountering these creepy critters drops dramatically. There are people who own property that rent to travelers. Weather its for a holiday or business exciting properties can be found to rent. The cost can be right in there with a quality hotel. The time of year, how long you stay, and location are factors you have to consider.

Happy Travels
